Are Chakras Feminine or Masculine?

Chakras are the foundations of our energetic body, but have you ever wondered whether chakras are feminine or masculine? Learn more about their genders here.

The chakra system is an ancient energy system that was first documented thousands of years ago in India. It’s composed of seven primary energy centers that run along the spine. Each one carries a unique set of vibrations and qualities.

Our subtle body is made up of both feminine and masculine energies. The 3 major Nadis (energy pathways in the body) that connect the chakras are conduits of these energies (Ida Nadi is associated with femininity while Pingala Nadi carries masculine energies). Some energy practioners also believe that each of the chakras can be identified with either a masculine or feminine energy.

This article will look at the seven primary chakras and reveal which of these are feminine chakras and which of them are classed as masculine chakras

Which Chakras Are For Masculinity?

Root Chakra

The Root Chakra, also known as the Muladhara or Base Chakra, is located at the base of your spine and is associated with physical security and grounding. It focuses on survival instincts, stability, and feeling rooted in your human body.

This chakra helps you access courage and strength when needed, which are often seen as masculine qualities. When the Root Chakra is balanced, you will feel a deep connection to the earth and tap into the power of your core energy.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra, also known as the Third Chakra or Manipura Chakra, is located between your rib cage and navel. It governs confidence, personal power, and self-control. When this chakra is balanced, you will feel empowered to make decisions with clarity and courage.

This chakra is often thought of as a masculine chakra. It provides us with the strength needed to move forward without fear, making it an essential part of masculine energy.

Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra or Anahata, is located in the center of your chest. This chakra governs love, empathy, compassion, and understanding. Many people see this as a feminine quality, but it’s actually essential for all humans, and can also be seen as a masculine chakra.

When the Heart Chakra is balanced, you will be able to show unconditional love and compassion while maintaining boundaries and staying true to yourself.

Throat Chakra

The Throat Chakra, or Vishuddha, is located in the area of the throat and is classed as a masculine chakra. It governs communication and expression. A balanced Throat Chakra allows us to communicate our needs and desires from a place of truth.

We can express our creativity easily when this energy center is open. We might find ourselves drawn to speaking our truth more often or taking up new creative hobbies.

Which Chakras Are For Femininity?

Sacral Chakra

The Second Chakra, commonly known as the Svadhisthana or Sacral Chakra, is located just below the navel. This chakra is related to creativity and sexual energy, but it also helps us to balance our passion with emotional control.

Balancing the Sacral Chakra can help men express their passionate nature while staying confident and in control of themselves.

Third Eye Chakra

The Third Eye Chakra, also known as the Ajna chakra, is located between your eyebrows. It governs insight and intuition and is often considered to be a feminine chakra.

When this energy center is balanced, it can unlock our inner wisdom and help us better understand ourselves from a feminine perspective. This chakra opens our minds to creative ideas that might not have been possible before its activation.

A strong connection with the Third Eye Chakra can also stir feelings of self-confidence, allowing us to stand tall and be proud of who we are.

Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, is located at the top of the head. It governs spirituality and connection with the divine and feminine energy. When this chakra is activated, we can feel more connected to something greater than ourselves.

We might find ourselves drawn to spiritual practices such as meditation or prayer.

We might also feel more in tune with our intuition and inner guidance. We can draw strength and confidence in our femininity from this place of connection.

Final Thoughts

The chakra system is a powerful tool for understanding and balancing our masculine and feminine energies. By getting to know the individual characteristics of each energy center, we can learn how to access its unique qualities to create harmony and balance in our lives.

Regardless of gender or orientation, utilizing the chakras’ energy will help us stay grounded, connected to the divine, and in tune with our true selves.
