Many people also experience emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, or mood swings, as the process can unearth buried emotions and old trauma.

  • Hearing constant buzzing or ringing in the ears

Emotional Signs 

  • Becoming more emotional than usual
  • Sudden and intense changes in mood, such as swinging from despair to euphoria quickly
  • A constant state of anxiety
  • Rage and angry outbursts
  • Detachment from reality and other people
  • Confusion and trouble communicating or thinking clearly
  • Extreme agitation or impulsivity

  • Kundalini psychosis (this is an extreme form of spiritual crisis which can include hallucinations, trance states, psychotic symptoms and delusions)
  • Psychic experiences (for example experiencing otherworld phenomena or telepathy)

Remember, all kundalini awakening results in some kind of symptoms, the difference with kundalini syndrome is that it often comes with much more severe negative experiences.

These are obviously serious physical and emotional issues which can affect your entire wellbeing. It’s important to approach kundalini awakening and speak to a spiritual teacher or energy healer if you think you might be experiencing any of these dangerous symptoms.

But it’s important to note that not everyone will experience these kinds of issues and for many people kundalini syndrome will be nowhere near as serious.

Kundalini syndrome is a phenomenon that affects your cosmic energy flow, bringing to life a range of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual experiences.

The exact cause of this syndrome is not entirely clear, but some spiritual teachers believe that kundalini syndrome occurs when too much kundalini energy surges through the body too quickly, causing disruptions in the body’s bioenergy fields.

In order to benefit from the healing and enlightening benefits of a kundalini awakening, all the energy centers of the body need to be balanced and functioning in harmony so that energy can flow evenly through the body.

Kundalini syndrome can be a challenging body experience. The process of awakening can cause a range of physical and psychological symptoms, such as hot flashes, intense emotions, and even hallucinations.

However, there are ways to help alleviate the discomfort that comes with this transformative process, including:

  1. Chakra meditation: A deep meditation practice can help you regulate your emotions, rebalance blocked chakras and bring harmony back to your energy system.
  2. Physical exercise: Yoga postures and other peaceful movements can help release pent-up energy channels and reduce negative feelings and physical stress. Getting into nature can be particularly beneficial for clearing the mind and rebalancing your Root Chakra (the seat of your kundalini spirit).
